Token counts change every release. Voice calls mix LLM, STT, and telephony costs. Enterprise deals need setup fees, credit packs, and custom rates — all on one invoice. Paygent solves this end to end: **track what your AI does, price it flexibly, and invoice automatically.** --- ## The problem Paygent solves | Without usage-aware billing | With Paygent | | ------------------------------------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------- | | Spreadsheets to reconcile API costs vs customer charges | Real-time usage → revenue in one system | | One flat subscription that loses money on heavy users | Activity, outcome, credit, and hybrid pricing | | Manual invoices every month | Orders + automatic invoice generation | | No margin visibility per agent or customer | Cost and revenue dashboards per indicator | | Weeks to launch a new pricing experiment | Plans, wallets, and fee stacks in the dashboard | --- ## What Paygent does 1. **Tracks** — SDK records agents, indicators, tokens, voice minutes, video, and external costs 2. **Prices** — Setup fees, platform fees, seat fees, usage tiers, credits, custom model rates, taxes 3. **Packages** — Plans (Standard/Custom) and credit currencies for tiered or prepaid products 4. **Bills** — Orders define the contract; billing runs produce itemized invoices 5. **Collects** — Stripe/Razorpay payment links, manual payment recording, wallet top-ups --- ## Core concepts ### Agents An **agent** is a billable AI product — a chatbot, voice assistant, code reviewer, or content generator. Each agent has an `externalId` you pass from your application. ### Indicators An **indicator** is a billable event: `message-sent`, `call-completed`, `meeting-booked`. Activity indicators track work done; outcome indicators track results delivered. ### Plans **Plans** package pricing into tiers (Starter / Pro / Enterprise) or custom deals per customer. Orders reference plans — not raw agent defaults. ### Orders & invoices An **order** is the subscription contract (customer, agents, plan, billing day, taxes). **Invoices** are generated automatically from active orders — you don't create them manually. --- ## Pricing models at a glance | Model | Type | Docs | | ------------------ | ------------------------------ | ------------------------------------------------------------------ | | Setup fee | One-time | [Subscription Fees](/documentation/introduction/subscription-fees) | | Platform fee | Recurring | [Subscription Fees](/documentation/introduction/subscription-fees) | | Seat-based | Recurring per user | [Subscription Fees](/documentation/introduction/subscription-fees) | | Activity-based | Per usage event | [Pricing Models](/documentation/introduction/pricing-models) | | Outcome-based | Per result | [Pricing Models](/documentation/introduction/pricing-models) | | Credits / wallets | Prepaid or postpaid | [Credit Currencies](/documentation/introduction/credit-currencies) | | External costs | Pass-through (telephony, etc.) | [External Costs](/documentation/introduction/external-costs) | | Custom model rates | Token/minute markups | [Custom Pricing](/documentation/introduction/custom-pricing) | --- ## Who is Paygent for? * **AI SaaS founders** launching usage-based or hybrid pricing * **Voice / video agent builders** billing per minute, call, or outcome * **Enterprise AI teams** needing setup fees, custom plans, and GST/VAT * **Platform teams** reselling LLM access with credit packs and wallets [Who Should Use Paygent? →](/documentation/introduction/who-should-use) --- ## Get started in 5 minutes 1.
