What is Paygent?
Paygent is billing infrastructure for AI products.
If you sell AI agents, copilots, voice assistants, or API-backed automation, you face a problem traditional billing tools weren’t built for: cost and value are driven by usage, not seats alone. Token counts change every release. Voice calls mix LLM, STT, and telephony costs. Enterprise deals need setup fees, credit packs, and custom rates — all on one invoice.
Paygent solves this end to end: track what your AI does, price it flexibly, and invoice automatically.
The problem Paygent solves
What Paygent does
- Tracks — SDK records agents, indicators, tokens, voice minutes, video, and external costs
- Prices — Setup fees, platform fees, seat fees, usage tiers, credits, custom model rates, taxes
- Packages — Plans (Standard/Custom) and credit currencies for tiered or prepaid products
- Bills — Orders define the contract; billing runs produce itemized invoices
- Collects — Stripe/Razorpay payment links, manual payment recording, wallet top-ups
Core concepts
Agents
An agent is a billable AI product — a chatbot, voice assistant, code reviewer, or content generator. Each agent has an externalId you pass from your application.
Indicators
An indicator is a billable event: message-sent, call-completed, meeting-booked. Activity indicators track work done; outcome indicators track results delivered.
Plans
Plans package pricing into tiers (Starter / Pro / Enterprise) or custom deals per customer. Orders reference plans — not raw agent defaults.
Orders & invoices
An order is the subscription contract (customer, agents, plan, billing day, taxes). Invoices are generated automatically from active orders — you don’t create them manually.
